About DMC Racing
15year old David Calabrese has his eye on success in whatever he is involved in. A full-time student at Toms River South High School, is also a standout in football, wrestling, and lacrosse. Along with his racing career, David also has his sights set on attending the NASCAR Technical Institute in the future.
At present, David is a standout in the World karting Association Gold Cupclass. A four year veteran with two driving championships already to his credits, David competes in events approximately 25 weekends between march and November in the Briggs Junior Division. He races in the Light, Medium, and Heavy classifications. David has raced, and will continue to race on nearly every WKA sanctioned course on the east coast.
The DMC Racing Team is well stocked for the rigorous schedule with three full bodied karts. This assures that not only will David always have a kart ready for him at the track, but he will also always have a vehicle ready for the many public appearances required to promote his career, and the products, and services of his sponsors. All of the DMC Racing equipment is transported in a 24foot long enclosed trailer that also acts as a “Rolling Billboard” for his sponsors.
Competition is a family affair for the DMC Racing Team. David is accompanied to each even by his father Mike, and his uncle Jim. Both serve as main crew members, while engine builder, and tuner Steve Backer, and chassis tuner Phil Capodice serve important rolls on the team.
